November 2024 update

So early November brought a lot of changes but opportunities for Beast in the Broch. When I left Crooked Dice (was that 2017?), I set up Beast in the Broch. But I never gave it the attention it should have had, focusing first on a degree then working in the charity/community third sector. Early November 2024 this had come crashing down after what I would say were terrible decisions by my bosses over a long period brought me unmanageable levels of stress, causing me to leave a job I otherwise loved. Aptly, each November is Men's Mental Health month, so at least my timing was on point. If you are struggling with your mental health, ask for help.

Thanks to everyone who kept ordering during the quiet period, I could spend some funds to get new models done. This is ongoing. I would like to get to a semi-regular miniature release schedule and see what becomes of this. I have also decided to host my Doctor Who Miniature Game PDFs here on this site, as I don't think they were really available anywhere else. I'm really proud of that game so I'm glad to make the PDFs available again. Changes in software mean I can't go back and edit any of that content so you'll have to take them as they are. Hopefully it's all still playable though.

Since part-creating 7TV with Crooked Dice, I've always wondered about a new edition of the DWMG, and since the Future Freedom Fighter rules might have been removed for 7TV, they could do with a way to get them on the table. So maybe time for some new rules which can cover time, space and wobbly sets?

Provisionally entitled Time War, I will get onto this with some urgency and post some work in progress playtest rules as soon as I can. This is likely to cover the time and space setting, maybe with an expansion called Down and Safe to deal with the struggle of the Future Freedom Fighters. Lets see what develops.

Thank you again for sticking with this wee enterprise, and thanks to my wife Alice and my short list of friends, for supporting me when the going is rough.
